Well, I am not seeing how that is any better when you put it in context. I am not seeing how low income children should be put to work at school, money or not. That's extremely classist and just wrong. That's absurd.

Hmmm . . . I would say that my worst gift was probably a stress ball given to me by a co-worker. He said that I look stressed out all the time. The guy and I never interacted before that, for the most part. It was not funny to me and the gift pretty much went in the trash.

I agree. I think many are also just lazy. They don't want to do the work and they don't realize that the other person could just disappear with their child. You never know what is going on in another person's head.

Even if you think you don't need one I think you should get one. You never know when something will happen to cause problems. A lot of people who do bad things are the kind of people you would never expect it from.

There really isn't disagreement in our house. We allow sweets occasionally because it's nice for a treat and some of those simple things add to the enjoyment of life. I tend to agree with you that kids should be kids.

I'm better at wrapping gifts than I thought. I spent the day wrapping some presents but it has taken a little bit of work to make sure that they look acceptable. Nothing fancy, just wrapping. Ribbons and bows are challenging.

It depends, I guess. I would never get a family member something like socks. I did have an aunt that got us all socks and underwear every year. I won't inflict that on anybody else unless they ask for it.

Haha! I am pretty sure that most people forget that the holidays are not meant to be about "stuff" but should be about family, friends, and spreading joy. Some people get caught up in other stuff.
