I have 2 teenage step daughters that I want to be closer to like I am with their 10 year old sister. I failed with my own daughters and now I see my step daughters need a father to guide them. I'm not really sure where to start.

That's a sad situation, I'm sorry for your son. Hopefully his mother will come to her senses one day, for his sake. I think you're mom raised a good guy, so you're son sounds like he's in good hands.

With my step daughters, we don't have a particular curfew because it depends where they are going and who they are with. They always have to be home before dark if it's just that they are hanging out after school. We generally drive them places because of the big city, but if they take a bus...

Is there such a thing as a cooking for dummy dads? My wife bugs me because I can't cook anything except french fries. I'm not even allowed to touch the grill (well I'm allowed to light it) because the last time I did, I put coal in a gas bbq and the fire dept came because of all the smoke!

My daughter is in chorus and there are guys there, some because their girlfriends are in it. Either way, they need good strong male voices in chorus.

We haven't been to a movie in a while and thought it was about time to go on a family outing. Is there a family friendly movie that is a must see?

We allow the teenage girls to work at night, but one works in a restaurant and the other in a grocery store. They take a bus after school and we pick them up at night.

Just so you know, I am laughing out loud right now! Do you really think that is going to happen? We have teenagers in the house and it seems the bigger they get the bigger the mess. Hair stuff and clothes everywhere. Good Luck.

Thanks for the support guys. I like the idea of rewarding myself for a job well done; I just need the willpower. I will get a pill box so that I stop forgetting to take those pills.

I haven't taken any of my kids because none of the kids enjoy country music. My wife did have the pleasure of going to Matchbox Twenty and Britney Spears. I think her least favorite was taking the younger one to High School Musical: On Ice.

My wife had a hysterectomy shortly after I met her due to health issues and I'm glad she's okay now. We wanted to have a child together even though we have our own, but we aren't resentful and we cherish all the children we have. It's just hard when the decision is taken away from you.

I know that I would and I have. That's why we're in debt now and have no credit card anymore. I do not recommend it because you don't know that you can pay it off. What would happen if you lost your income?

It's a pretty scary thing. My stepdaughter just got her learner's license and my wife is way too nervous to teach her and lessons are expensive. Hopefully I will get up the nerve.

Will you teach your kids to drive or will you send them to driving school? I'm a bit nervous about how I will react. Anyone have some tips for me?

I come shopping to push the cart and carry the groceries into the house. I'm not even allowed to bag the groceries because I do it all wrong. If she sends me with a list, I usually get everything, but it's generally a variation of what she actually wanted!
