I agree with you about giving them positive attention when they are not misbehaving. I think we are guilty of this. When the kids behave properly, sometimes we just take it for granted and ignore them.
The changes did take place, but I don't really have any issue with it, and I don't see how it has ruined other people's life. :) Then again, I don't use Facebook that much.
Homer Simpson is a great dad, though he maybe not the smartest. Anyway, the kids idolize Jesus. Obviously they didn't learn it from me. Their mom has done a good job. :)
I am not really a fan of conspiracy theories, but I think it is not impossible. Anyway, I hope the pieces really ended up in the ocean and hurt nobody.
I believe that many kids do that just to get attention. In this case, I think the best way of discouraging the misbehavior is to give them attention they deserve without them having to do that.
I think the younger kids learn from us and we learn from the older kids. Anyway, I notice that most older kids and teens want to get new gadgets on the day the gadgets are released.
Yeah, it is the way they are and I think we parents are the ones to blame as we have been giving them too many tasks. I would try to at least get them take their meals properly.
That is a bit scary. I hope the satellite or its debris falls onto an uninhabited area or an ocean, and no human or animal is injured in this accident.
A friend of mine just complained about today's kids being multitaskers (not in a good way). They take dinner, watch TV and do their homework at the some time. I agree with that to some extent.
Yesterday a friend of mine told me that she didn't feel motivated to do anything. That's strange (and she wondered about that also) as she has a good job, she is currently with someone and they are getting married next year. Not sure what to advise her.
I think that applies to me as well. I don't usually feel like I want to eat just after finishing my workout. Normally I will wait for some time (maybe half an hour) before getting something to eat.
