Dealing with your partner's emotional highs/lows

Not much you can do about it because it's her hormones that are causing the issue. Happened to my wife and all you can do is remember that whatever happens or is said isn't meant to be a personal attack on you.

Grown Child Preggers at the Same Time

I've heard about that type of situation but I've never actually seen where the mom and oldest daughter are pregnant at the same time. There's just something weird about that when I think about it but it happens.

    Chiropractic treatment?

The right chiropractor can do wonders for you. I've been seeing mine off and on for the past 10+ years. My chiropractor also does deep tissue massage, something that others don't include in their practice.

    Golf

I've tried playing golf several times and I just plain suck! lol My wife thinks if I took some lessons it might be more enjoyable for me. Until then, I second what Mark Twain said, "golf is a good walk spoiled." ;)

Who gets the children during the divorce?

The OP asks a tough question. My wife and I are still together but I'm a child of divorce from when I was 7 years old. My father ended up with custody and I'm not sure how that happened. He's passed away so I can ask him and I certainly won't ask my mom.

    Taking time for yourself

My wife is always reminding me that I need to have a hobby where I can get away from the house and unwind and relax. She's right but I don't do it as often as I should.

    Itchy scalp

When I was younger, I had the same problem. My parents bought an anti-dandruff shampoo and it did the trick. If that doesn't work for you, you'll need to see the doctor.

    Never Trampolining Again

That would be like saying so-and-so got into a car accident so I'm never going to drive again. Things happen in life and that's why they're called accidents.

Does Your Wife Or Significant Other Ever Deride You For Being A Stay-At-Home Dad?

That would be a horrible relationship if that were to happen. Usually couples talk about whether or not one person should stay at home so hopefully concerns are addressed ahead of time.

    What's your take?

Given your cousin's history, I think she'll do whatever she wants to do regardless of what you tell her. Like many who have posted, I disapprove of using abortion as a form of birth control but that discussion is for a different time.

    California Considering Odd Parenting Law

I read this stuff and I think, "only in California." I'm one of those people who thinks marriage is between a man and a woman and if that's the case, the issue of number of parents is set.

    Fathers and giving birth

Don't even want to go there. :) I've been in the delivery room and as beautiful as birth can be, there's also a slimy, messy side that I'd like to leave to the professionals.

    Too old is how old?

You're never too old to go back to school. If you have the time, dedication and desire, you should return to school regardless of your age.

    Who dishes out the discipline?

Are you the one who gets to be the disciplinarian all the time or do you and your spouse assume the role equally? In my family, there's no "wait 'til your father gets home." My wife takes care of things just as well as I do.

Mom feed cheesburger to my kid

I'll side with you and Andersson on this one. An 18 month old should not be eating a greasy cheeseburger. Not saying it will happen but your wife could be setting up your son for obesity down the road.

    Sleep Issues

Your wife has accidentally trained your baby to sleep in your bed and now comes the tough part, undoing it. Try putting the baby back in the crib and rub her back to keep her asleep. When she begins to stir, rub her back again to soothe her until she stops fussing. Give that a try. On the...

    Saving for college

I may be an oddball but I don't do anything for my kids. I tell them their job is to get good grades so they can get grants and scholarships for school. Then they'll have to make up the difference if there is any. I figure it'll mean more if they have some ownership in financing school.

    Lazy Kids?

When my kids start acting lazy and not wanting to help around the house, I add more chores to help them work out the laziness. Seems to do the trick.

    Getting your exercise in

The only way I've been able to get in a workout is to wake up before everyone else is up. That means the alarm goes off at 5 and I'm in the family room working out.

    The big boss

Can't say that I've ever had that problem. My wife and I laid out a strategy on child rearing even before she was pregnant with our first son. That's not to say we don't adjust but our kids know that we are the bosses.
