Any luck with a mediator?

In the next month or so the state is doing a mediation between the ex and me to see if we can come to some agreement about lower child support payments. I'm barely keeping food on the table in my own house thanks to the exorbitant amount I have to pay her so somethings has to change. Has anyone ever had any luck with these mediation things?

My sister and her ex went through mediation. It was so bad that three mediators quit and refused to work with them. They eventually came to a solution but it took many months of mediation.

I am sorry to hear that you are paying so much. Even with a mediator it will be hard to get anything done. Chances are that she want's all that money and won't feel bad for you at all. I hope I am wrong.
