APEC started in Hawaii on Monday and it has been a nightmare traffic wise. A few of the major intersections are blocked for security reasons causing big time traffic on other streets. This has caused our driving time to double. Today will probably be worse since about 8 dignitaries are coming to Hawaii, including President Obama, which will result in more road closures for security reasons. I will be glad when this is over.
