I don't care what our situation is, I can't see myself EVER putting my daughter in such a situation. A marriage is meant to be about love wanting to bond through it. Not bonding as some sort of obligation. People have to think about how this affects their children, not giving them a choice and FORCING such a severe life decision upon them.
