Bed Time for 10 Year Old

I'm divorced and have joint legal and physical of my 10 year old daughter. SHe spends 1/2 the time with the ex and 1/2 the time with me. The ex has a bedtime for her of 8:00 pm. When she's with me, I let her stay up until 9:00 pm. I've tried to compromise with the ex on a common bedtime 1/2 between at 8:30 pm but the ex won't go along. She says, "8:00 pm period - everwhere".

Any advice ?

She is 10 year old already so I think 8:00 pm is too early for her to go to bed. I think 9:00 pm would be fine. But maybe your ex has her own factors to consider. Try to talk to her more to get the more suitable bed time for your daughter.

10? My daughter is 13 and I make her go to bed by 9:30 on school nights. Kids need all the rest they can get. I think 8 is a bit too early (sometimes it isn't even dark yet), but 10 is too late.
