I had one on my leg. It took about a week to resolve when you use really warm but not burning compresses a couple of times a day, it will come to a peak and pop. Sometimes if they are stubborn and don't resolve they remove it. You shouldn't feel anything as they freeze the area to remove the infected tissue. They may pack it and you will need to get the dressing changed a few times, depending how deep it is.
