I work for a major health supplies provider and my company is doing awesome. They have a raise system in place, but it's crappy. I've never gotten more than a .37 cent raise in an annual review, yet they always tell me how important I am and never want me to take any of my vacation time. We have a new operations manager and I wrote a formal letter asking for a raise in pay and why. He and my boss agreed, but I'm not sure because in our group meetings, he says even though we are gaining hundreds of millions of dollars in new business again, that the money isn't in the budget to give large raises. I'm not sure if he is just saying that as a group, but still holding to his word about getting me what I asked for. I have to wait until next month to find out. I hate waiting.
