I have always disliked the BCS and how they calculate things and have long rallied behind the plus 1 system of championship playoffs in college football. However, after watching my Irish get shafted again by the BCS into the number 3 spot I just want to scream. The computers rank them based on their stats and strength of schedule at number 1 or 2. However 2/3rds of the BCS calculation are the human factors in the Harris poll and the AP poll, where they have been consistently ranked 3 and 4. They are 10-0 and have the best defense in the nation, yet they will probably get overlooked for a national championship title bid because the pundits are still sitting around debating whether or not they are relevant.
