Keeping the laptop unplugged

The wife rarely uses my, I mean our laptop, but recently she uses it much more often especially to be online on Facebook. That's fine. The problem is that she has a habit of keeping the laptop unplugged when using it. You know, the battery would last longer if you always keep it fully charged.

I would suggest adjusting your power settings on your laptop to automatically hibernate or go into sleep mode if it has been idle for more than a few minutes. This would help extend battery life significantly and probably save your sanity.

Why don't you set up a place for her or put the cord where she usually uses it? Actually, keep the cord where she uses it if she's the one that forgets.
