Milk thistle

My wife told me we should start taking milk thistle for liver health. This is a new one to me and something I have never heard of before. Does anyone here take milk thistle?

Someone told me the same thing so I looked it up and just like any other supplements...there are proponents of it but there are also naysayers. I can't say I noticed the difference but with the amount of booze I consume it was worth a shot to clean up my liver.

I take it from time to time for health reasons but I did not notice any difference either. But then again I have a healthy liver.
