night/weekend part-time 2nd job?

For those who work a night time and/or weekend second job, how do you find it to be with your family?

I did this for a while when we first had a child. It was tough and I missed my family but we had to pay the bills down. I was able to stop after about 1 year.

I only did this when I did not have a family because I had the time to. It was exhausting. But now with the family, that is out of the question.

3rd shift and family life is hard. But if you only have 1 child that goes to school, it's not that bad. You'ld be sleeping while they're at school, and wake up in time to pick them up.

I work a full-time job. 9-4 5 days a week. I also have a part-time job, that I work a few times a week as well. I still have plenty of time to spend with my family on the days I am not working. It is all about keeping a balance.
