Potty training fail

My daughter will be three in January and for awhile she was doing great telling us when she needed to go potty or just going by herself even. For the past week or so though she absolutely refuses to sit on the potty! Any suggestions would be welcome.

Can she tell you why she is refusing now? Any clues? With the colder weather, does she get a chill when she drops her drawers or something?

If I remember correctly she's just asserting her independence. Let her know she will have to go back into diapers and stay in them and not wear big girls pants.

I agree with geezer. If you try to force her or scold her, there will be more resistance. Make her understand what may happen to her if she does not go potty but let her make the decision on her own. When she sees other children doing it or sees how silly she is being she will start to do it on her own again.
