Stuck at work

I was stuck at work yesterday and I missed my son's swim meet! I kept telling my boss I had to run but he kept giving me more work. I felt bad that I missed it, I will try not to miss another. My son was pretty upset. I told him that sometimes you have to work, it's the real world.

Sorry to hear that. I know how bad my kids feel when I have to work. I try to keep my promises but sometimes, like in your case, you need to prepare them for the real world.
