Is their any way to get more time with my children other than maybe extra weekends? How would I go about that? It is just so hard being away from my kids other than the every other weekend situation.
I talk to my ex wife all the time. We just make it fair for both. Most weekends I have the kids, unless I have to work and I get them about half of the summer.
If I could talk to my ex wife civilly it would be a whole different ball game. She refuses to talk to me and if we do it is between lawyers and in a court setting!
You'll simply need to convince the lawyers that it's in the childrens best interest to spend a little more time with you. You can't make it about yourself, I don't think that will work too well.
