Volunteer work for the family?

I would like to get involved in some kind of community giving or volunteer work. If there's something we could do as a family that would be even better. Any ideas?

What kind of work do you like to do? If you like cooking, check local soup kitchens. Building, habitat for humanity. Not sure if 4H is volunteer or not. I would find out the kind of work you would like to perform, and then look for a local charity.

Jason's ideas are sound, though I think the ages of your kids may be a factor too. If they're too young to cook maybe they could pick out some food donations at the store?
