I was wondering, when do you think your kids should get a job? I personally feel that once they have shown they are responsible, and they want a job, they should be able to do it. If it affects school then they should have to quit.
I think it's 100% your call. If you think your teenager is ready, then by all means, let them do it. However, some kids don't do very well with multitasking and keeping up with everything so keep that in mind. Best of luck!
Well there are laws about the minimum age that a child can do paid work and you have to be 13 before you can deliver newspapers, but jobs around the house and garden are good practice at any age.
I think the first job should be no younger than what state law allows, and should be very limited so they learn what having a job is about, but at no risk to other higher priorities.
