Yes, once you have cold sores you can always get them. I get them occasionally when I am sick or if I have a pimple that I popped near my lip. I have been getting them since I was a kid and I understand how terrible they are!

I think that it's for people who have kids because that's "the thing to do," not because it is what they personally want to do. Seeing the kids just a few times a year doesn't sound like a good idea to me but I know others who have done it for disciplinary reasons.

Thanks for sharing the recipe. I like the Mexican pizzas from Taco Bell but I never thought about making one at home. I bet it's a lot better for you too. I'll give it a try.

Blech, I always hate those kinds of lists. I don't believe in "honey do" lists. I believe in everybody doing their part to keep up with everything. I don't know, a list just seems so passive aggressive to me, not pleasant.

I think it's fine too. Even if you don't "allow" it then you know that they are going to find a way to have one anyway. If you are open about it then at least you can get the URL and keep checking up on it.

I haven't rented to anybody but I did rent a room for a short amount of time, a while back. I also had a house where there was a studio apartment attached. It was blocked off from the house though. I think it's a great way to earn some extra money if you find the right tenant.

It is exhausting. I think that a lot of the time people who aren't home with the kids don't realize how much work it is to stay home. I'm just tired of dads at work telling me that they "babysat" their kids while their wives went shopping. It's not babysitting if they are your own kids! They...

Wow, you got lucky with that. I don't think I would be able to wait until the last minute. I am usually way ahead of schedule with gifts.

I have heard too many horror stories about boarding school to send my child to one. I think college is the first time I would send my kids away. I do understand why it is an option for many parents, however. There are some children who require the discipline of some of the strict boarding schools.

It's true that nothing is cheap. The price of groceries seems to be increasing all the time. I used to get a lot more for my dollar. It's terrible, the predicament that we are in right now.

I buy one gift from one of the kids to the other and let them each choose. Every once in a while they want to buy something for a friend from school and I pay for that too. Of course there is a limit but it is sort of random.

I think that if the cat keeps coming to eat food from outside your house and starts to look really skinny, that's a sign the cat is homeless. If he tries to come inside your house when it's cold out that would be another sign.

I just cannot imagine being the parent who does not get to see their child at all. I would never keep the child from the other parent without a good reason. That sounds like emotional abuse to me.
