I take my son out to the farm any chance I get. We go to tractor pulls, antique shows, fairs and festivals. And last year I took him to see monster trucks and he loved it. We also just sit down and read together or watch a movie.

My buddy had a co-ed one last year so that he could invite his brothers and father all not married. It turned out well. About a third of the group were men and they had decent activities to include us, as they weren't too girlie.

I think it depends on circumstances. WV I would understand, but just for a vacation to plan no. That is why they get 3 months off in the summer. Make plans accordingly. I always take my vacation while the kids are not in school, as to not interrupt routine.

I have talked to the teacher and we have both sat down with my daughter. We have now figured out she just missed being at home and with her little sister. Things are much better the last 2 days and we are hoping for no tears tomorrow!
