Very true! My dad is swimming and walking in the water. His surgeon told him to do this. Any kind of exercise in the water is better than outside the water (when your body is injured). I am not sure the real reason but it seems to be working for my dad.

My kids have finally talked me into going ice skating with them tomorrow. We are going to an indoor rink. When I was a kid we only went ice skating on ponds! I hope I don't fall a hundred times! I might want to attach a pillow to my butt!

I would not do it. You should be breaking them apart when you first buy them. Freeze them in the quantity that you will need them. My mom always said that you shouldn't freeze, thaw and then freeze again. Something about bacteria.

We don't use credit cards for Christmas gifts either. I laugh when I hear how people are afraid of the bills coming in. Don't charge and you won't have to worry about it. I get that some people need to use them for things that they need. You should not use them for something you want.

We heat our home with a wood stove. We always take the tree down before January 1st. The needles just keep dropping! It's a mess. We do leave all the other decorations up throughout the house though. Most of them are snowmen so they stay up all through winter.

My kids asked my wife what was for dinner tonight. I laughed and answered - leftovers! We have so many. We had two big meals on back to back days. Needless to say our fridge is stocked with all of the leftovers. I told them it's "fend for yourself night". They were pretty impressed!
