    Daily fluid intake

I drink tons of water every day. And no, tea, coffee and other drinks like that don't count. Even if they are decaffeinated they have bits of caffeine in them. They are all dehydrating and will cause you to need more water than you've already had.

    Nanny McPhee 2

We loved the first one. I haven't gone to the 2nd one yet. I'll have to schedule a movie date night with all of them. I love movies that you can take the kids too where you aren't afraid of language or actions that shouldn't be seen by kids.

    My GOSH Kids are Loud!

I heard the most blood curdling scream coming from my kids bedroom last night. I ran to the bedroom as fast as I could only to find them playing hide and seek. My baby had sneaked up on my second youngest and scared him. I thought someone was being eviscerated! Kids! It really did scare me...

    Sleeptalking?

A lot of people do this, not just kids. I've been known to have whole conversations. She may be an internet star one day like the "Sleep Talking Husband". He says some pretty weird stuff when he's asleep though. I don't seem to talk crazy when I do it and that's the problem. My wife says she can...

    The grandparents are too easy...

That's what grandparents are for. I remember my grandparents would let me do almost everything my parents wouldn't let me do including stay up as late as I wanted to and watch TV. I totally agree with the "let them spoil them as long as they don't do dangerous things".

    Trailerhood

Has anybody else heard this song? I just caught some of it and I was rolling in my seat when I heard it. I can honestly say I probably live near people who are JUST LIKE THAT! I don't even know who sings it, I was laughing too hard to catch the name.:D

In Sweden, Men Can Have It All

That is so cool! I wish we had this here in the US. I would have loved to have taken off when our children were born. It's so nice to be able to actually talk about children's issues and such here. I just think we're ahead of our times.

    why am I?

Well, you also worry about your wife and how you will cope with being a Dad even though you may have other children. Stress always makes me eat. It's about the only way you can tell I'm stressed. I did worry about my wife when she was pregnant because she couldn't keep anything down and got...

    Child Support

I have seen a lot of fathers who are still single but have a child with a past girlfriend or lover. This situation is hard also as well as being a dad who is newly single or who is widowed. Child support these days is very, very expensive. I have a neighbor who's son is in this situation but he...

    Stepkids Who Don't Accept You

"Don't take it personally" is the best thing I could tell anyone in this situation. Mom is the one who needs to lay down the rules for this situation. They will have to deal with step dad so they may as well get used to it but Mom needs to tell them they still need to respect him. He and his...

    Working Out The Discipline

My wife and I finally worked out the discipline. We have talked about this for a few years and yeah, we should have done this sooner but we really had a hard time trying to compromise on a few issues. So now we discuss what has happened and we BOTH talk to our child about the infraction. We...

    U.F.O.'s

He'll go through several more phases before childhood is over. Don't you remember reading every Marvel comic book and thinking how wonderful it would be if the heros were real?? I do. I loved the Metal Men and I wanted to be one of them and save people. I guess I did grow up and save people but...

    It is official!

Congratulations to you. You have just entered the land of no sleep, no rest, worry, aggravation and spit up. You have also entered the land of good night and good morning kisses, the land of someone looking up to you as if you hung the moon, and of kissing scraped knees and hurt fingers and...

    Anyone experience cloth diapers?

We used the "Fuzzy Bunz" type of diapers for our kids. They are great and have snaps to fasten. My wife and I decided we wanted to be environmentally responsible AND I'm cheap too so that was a perk. They have the Fuzzy Bunz now that are adjustable up to four years old and are great. Here's a...

When Do You Call The Mom??

There have been times in my life when my kids have gotten on my last nerve and I was going to blow if my wife didn't rescue me. Of course she has too. We figure it's a tag team event and we try our best to bail each other out when we know we've had enough. Do you ever do this?
