My wife is always reminding me that I need to have a hobby where I can get away from the house and unwind and relax. She's right but I don't do it as often as I should.
Are you the one who gets to be the disciplinarian all the time or do you and your spouse assume the role equally? In my family, there's no "wait 'til your father gets home." My wife takes care of things just as well as I do.
Are you good at enforcing discipline with your children? For my kids, they get one warning and once they've crossed the line, they have to deal with the consequences of their actions. No idle threats in our house.
Do you feel like you apologize for your mistakes all of the time and your spouse never apologizes. My wife says I never apologize and yet I think she's the one who never apologizes.
Do you adjust to your children's personalities or do you make them adjust to your personality? I've found that when I adjust to their personalities I develop a better relationship with them.
