Have you noticed that we encourage our sons to go after girls even when they're still 7 , yet we tell our daughters not to entertain boys till they are 12? We seem to treat our children differently based on their sex. How do you think this treatment will affect them as they grow up?

Kids view or see their parents in different ways mostly depending on how the parent treated them. Some kids would see their fathers as strict unreasonable disciplinarians while other fathers are seen as loving, caring and generous. What about you? What do your kids think of you?

With all the baddies running around, how can we make our children protect themselves? I've thought of sending them to self-defense martial arts training or maybe having the older girls carry Mace or something.:confused:

My herb garden is flourishing and the oregano is simply thriving. The oregano leaves are steeped in hot water to produce a very soothing tea. But, one could drink only so much tea. Could anybody please share a recipe that uses fresh oregano leaves?
