    Breakout Kings

"IT TAKES A CON TO CATCH A CON." Its a show that airs on the A&E channel and while I seldom flip through that area I did catch a few episodes and kind of like it. I wonder if this is something that comes from past history outside of the TV world or not. Who would feel safe if a con was out...

    Discounts for parks

We have starting this "extreme couponing" in the household and while I do nothing more than clip the coupons I have to say I am impressed. This summer since I am back now we are heading to an amusement park during peek time and paying a little less than half the normal price. I can not really...

    Overrun by kids

There are two semi distant relatives that I have married into "having" as my own, the issue is that both of us think they have too many kids to start with and seldom take care of them properly. Nothing too major, but enough to have people talk about it. How does someone break out and tell...

    Worries

Does anyone here also have the head of the household worries like I do? Every now and then and its nothing against the other half, I sometimes worry what will happen if I go first. Its not that she does not have a job that pays good, but I worry "what if" too much. I hope I am not alone here.

    How I Met Your Mother

I love this show and I have done many a dumb things in life so I guess watching this brings back some fun memories. I never really liked him in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, but I am not too fond of musicals so that could be why, but Harris does make the show funny. The entire cast is actually...

    Need a tent

We are looking for something large enough to cover a smaller patio area to keep the bugs away while we are outside with the kids. Has anyone purchased one of these before, I am not exactly sure what they are called other than large tents??

    The dreaded MIL

Well the MIL is coming to town and you know what that means, spoiled freaking rotten. Mine is great but still I would love to know what makes having a Mother In Law so bad, most people I know love theirs like their own.

    Who makes more?

Who makes more money and does it really matter? I mean to me, its a family and a household income. I am not breaking out to count the pennies down or the very last nickel, its a contribution on both parts, right?

    Real family time

When you can laugh and joke and play and still communicate and enjoy it, that's real family time. Lately it seems like too many people are plugged in that there is no real time anymore. What gives?

When there is child support involved...

It seems more and more that mothers are ending up flipped sides and being the one ordered to pay for child support, but how does this work when you are the step parent of a child too?

    Lack of the father figure

I am sure there are many fathers out there who look for support from their own fathers, when they in fact become fathers, esp. for the first time. What happens though when you do not have this option or another fatherly figure to look up to?

    Get a doc

Right now work is cracking down hard on people who are not either doing well on the checkups they provide (a nurse comes out) or not having listed a general doctor on their health sheets. This has never happened before, is it common?

    Harass the health

Thats what I have started calling it lately, it seems schools around here are really pushed to keep kids healthy and while I do agree with it, sometimes kids are complaining so much its like harassment to a point. Are other schools around the states like this or is this the age we have entered...

    Manning up

A friend is just at the start of a long stage that will battle out over his soon to be wive's child by another man who refuses to man up. Now of course my buddy would be a great dad but at the same time it bothers me that he is footing the bill for her court costs.

I am not comical but I do need help

I am a new parent and while its not new to take care of someone younger than me (kid bro) I am new at taking care of a new born. So many things geared toward new dads but most are often comical, anyone have ideas on how to find books geared with less humor and more seriousness?
