Allergic to antibiotics?

My sister was diagnosed to have bronchitis, and she got antibiotics to take three times a day. She is not allergic to antibiotics, but now she feels so thirsty all the time. Do you think it is the side effect of the antibiotics?

She should talk to her doctor. It could be a side effect, I don't know if it is an allergy but I think it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope she feels better soon.

I agree, if you ever have strange symptoms from taking medications you should ask a doctor. You can develop an allergy at any time, even to something like antibiotics.

Dry mouth is a known side effect to antibiotics. It's also possible she has thrush in her throat. She should mention it when she goes back to the doctor.

Gary is right about it being a known side effect. Also, being sick in general can be very dehydrating. Tell her to make sure she gets enough fluids and I hope she feels better soon!
