Blu-Ray differences

I need a new Blu-Ray DVD player and I have some questions. My old one is just a standard player. I see they now come with Wi-Fi built in. Why would I need to pay more money for this function? I heard it is so you can watch Netflix - we already stream movies on our Wii. Any other reason I would want the Wi-Fi?

There are no other reasons I can think of for wanting Wi-Fi. We stream Netflix with our PS4 which also has a Blu-Ray DVD player. I would just go with the plain Blu-Ray unless there is some other function I am missing.
