I have two sons and I never really noticed them acting any different with me or their mother. But our friends swear that girls prefer the company of their father and boys of their mothers.
Mine doesn't. She's a momma's girl. Those two are very close and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love her, but I'd rather see her follow in mom's footsteps then mine.
I don't notice it with my girls. It seems like they cling to both their mom and me on a fairly equal level. They'll go through preference phases but those don't last long.
I've got two girls and everyone tells me that the youngest one is a "daddy's girl". I have to admit that it's true. My eldest is definitely a "mommy's girl" though and will always back her mother up against me.
