Heading to the dentist

Are other offices doing this too? I just had to talk my dentist office into allowing me to bring my granddaughter with me in a second waiting room (mostly used for overflow of billing) because they do not allow people back in the rooms anymore. When did this change?

About six months ago I had a dental appointment and there was a lady there with a three year old. They were in the room next to mine which was only separated by a divider so I could hear everything going on. They had the child back there with them.

A lot of doctor's offices no longer allow people other than the patient in the back of the office anymore. It may just be some kind of liability issue.
