How often do you let your kids pick the activity?

Do you let your children decide what to do with your family time? I've been trying the strategy recently in order to foster more of a cohesive family feel. I kind of feel that when we give kids some sense of power and control then they really respond in a positive manner. Let your child pick the next family activity and see how he responds.

Yes we have done this before, everyone gets a turn. I see so many parents who never listen to what their kids are trying to tell them. I just do not understand it, what does it teach them other than children are to be seen and not heard?

We do this too, but because our kids are still pretty young it is more like letting them choose between a couple of different activities.
