I used to have a book that listed a whole load of different food stuffs and the amount of fat, carbohydrates, protein and calories in each. I'm sure if you Google it you can find it. It definitely exists, so I hope you find it.
Your best bet is to use a kitchen scale to get the proper amount of food, and then look online for caloric information. MyFitnessPal has a great database.
The web is a great place to start if you are using any brand foods or are you only using general foods? I know sometimes when we purchase store brands they do not list the calories and other stuff, but we asked them (the deli prep foods) and they honored the request throughout our little town.
I don't think you understood me correctly. I know that there are nutritional charts that list such data but I was wondering how to measure calories in food by myself. Is there an apparatus for this?
