I have no idea what is wrong with my in-laws. They did not even call my wife or come see her on her birthday. The bad part is that they live five minutes down the road. We weren't invited for Thanksgiving, which is fine by me. We went to my family's gathering instead. However, it makes me mad for my wife. I really just want to speak my mind to them, but I can't because she wouldn't appreciate that!

That is really sad. I bet she gets upset, unless she is so used to it that she shrugs it off. In any case, it really is her place to say something, not yours. I'm sure it's very frustrating for you.

My wife's parents are very strange people. On one hand they do call my wife for her birthday but they are not there most of the year when she needs them. I also sad for her.

You can be disappointed but never be mad. Being mad never gets anyone, anywhere in a hurry. It seems a little strange but maybe they are just having an off moment in life where they want left alone.
