Schools grading differently on race

Yes, I heard about this. I think it's a travesty to lower expectations for minority groups and it doesn't really make sense in an increasingly multicultural world. My children are Hispanic as well as white. To which standard will they be held?

I agree with Victor. I don't understand how this is realistic. When these children graduate and start working in the real world, their employer isn't going to lower his/her expectations because that person is a minority.

I think that if there is a language or cultural barrier to learning, it is reasonable to take measures to overcome that barrier. After all, it is the learning of the basics that is the most important.

This just seems like a horrible idea from the start. While the meaning behind it might be something sweet and cuddly it is not going to hold up by the time the kids become adults.
