What time do you take the kids out for Trick or Treat?

I went through a nearby town on my way home today and at four o'clock the town was already covered with kids trick or treating. We don't usually head out until just about dark.

Well, we went to a "trunk or treat" at a local church tonight and that started about six o'clock. My kids are still very young so evewn if we hadn't done that we probably would have went out around six. Our town had a community trick or treat today and it ran from 4-6 pm.

Trick or treating in our area was from 6-8pm. It has always been this time. 4 is pretty early. Wonder if they do it that early for safety reasons.

We have trick or treating hours in our town of 5-dark. They don't want anyone out after dark because it is a fairly large town and it gets hard to see all those ghost and goblins after the sun goes down.
