My daughter started working a month ago and I have to say it's great. She is making enough that she can buy her own brand clothing, without me paying a fortune. I'm trying to teach her to save money for the future, so she puts away part of the earnings into a high interest esavings account. You can't use your debit card with it so it helps her save money.

Awesome! I long for the day when my kids can work. I know they will save money out of each paycheck. Where is your daughter working? Do you still expect her to help out around the house too?

She's working at a grocery store, as a deli clerk. It's funny because she really does not like deli meat. She works quite a few hours a week and, between that and her homework, we don't push her to do many chores. She does her own laundry because she wears more clothing in a week than anyone else in the family.
