I sold some of my tools last summer. I took some power tools to a local pawn shop. I may have gotten a little more money if I had advertised them, but I didn't want to deal with all that.
If I could get a mortgage for a half percent lower than what I have now, it would save me a chunk of change. For me the amount saved would be $1500 a year.
I have done some ordering online late in the game in past years. All of the deliveries made it on time. In my experience the advertised delivery time frames were correct.
In our house it would be MUCH easier to for my spouse and I to "discuss and agree" than if one of us made a unilateral decision knowing the other had issues. (I'd NEVER hear the end of it.)
No, I am not worried about my kids having too much power. We keep things democratic, but they know their parents have the final word on decisions and they respect that.
I give them a gift card in their Christmas stocking in addition to the gifts we give them. We go bargain hunting after Christmas when we take back anything that needs to be returned.
I just heard a report about some politician who thinks it would be a good idea to replace school janitors with little kids from the school to do the janitorial work! He was serious.
I don't suffer from depression but I have a couple of friends who do. They tend to be moody, so I would guess it makes the parenting less consistent than otherwise.
The government hasn't changed how they calculate the unemployment figure. It has never, nor could it ever, be a completely accurate picture of reality. The figure is just meant to be a gauge.
Do you want a large dog or a small dog? The Golden Retrievers and Poodles are some of the easiest dogs to train. If hair is an issue, go with the Poodle.
I would call in a landscaper and have my place professionally landscaped. We built a house on an undeveloped wooded lot. We've done a lot of work, but there's lots more to go. Then I'd go to art school.
