Father's Day for layers of fathers

We have only have one Dad we are celebrating this year, lucky him. Well, two if you count me, but I don't count me, ha. We'll probably go out to dinner or something.

    10 Month Old

Well, about a month later and he has calmed down quite a bit. We've moved into a new apartment, too, and he has better access to his play area.

Losing my job may be the best thing

Congratulations on following a desire. Often times people say they want to do something and never go through with it. I'm glad to see you taking the opportunity.

    Conquering or attracting?

I think we are instinctively born this way. Rarely, it is the other way around. I agree we have evolved as well, though we are not entirely equal yet.

    Too much homework?

The packets are what irritate me. Aren't the packets with 10 pages supposed to be done in school? When do kids get time to just be kids?

    Zoos

We have three different Zoos in our area, four if you count the petting zoo, and I'm not sure which one my son (11 months) would enjoy more. What do you think? 2 big zoos and 1 small zoo, plus the petting zoo.

    Computer programs for kids

I didn't even know online sites for kids existed. I figured learning programs were going to have to be purchased and installed; having a website will make things much easier.

    YouTube Madness

I haven't spent too much time on YouTube myself. I go there to watch videos every so often. I've never found myself lost on the site, though.

    A good business to start

We would open a bookstore as well. A bookstore is the one business my wife and I have both been passionate about owning. Sadly, that dream was pretty much flushed down the toilet with e-readers.

    Talking and walking

My son is 11 months and he is walking first. He hasn't really tried to say much. We think he might have said hi the other day.

    Vomit

Well, I survived my first time getting puked on today. We think our son had too many bananas. We've been busy and dropped him off at the in-laws, so he ended up having 3 helpings of bananas today.

    Never Trampolining Again

Yikes. I once fell off the trampoline doing a flip. Luckily, I didn't hurt myself too bad. I'd still like to get a trampoline for my kids one day.

    Styling Hair

This is one of the many reasons I'm glad I had a son. The boy’s hair is easy to do, just put a hat on. ;)

    Awkward questions

I agree with collin. As long as you are honest, to an extent, there really is nothing awkward happening. Explain that you don't plan on it, but it's still a possibility.

    Lazy Kids?

Lead by example is the perfect cure for laziness. It's fine to have a lazy day, but most days should be spent doing something productive.

    Mean retorts

I'm lucky my kid doesn't talk yet! I'm sure the day will come when he says something to hurt my feelings and I'll let it roll off my back.

    Grumpy Baby

I hate the teething stage. We're still in it with our son. The worse was around 6-7 months. They have the big growth spurt and teething so they only want to be held.

    Do you homeschool?

Our son isn't of age to be schooled yet. The wife and I talked about homeschooling before the kid-o was born. Now that he's here, I'm not sure either of us would have the patience!

    We are gonna make it!

We just got our 401k cashed out as well. I was extremely disappointed to have to do it, but it's allowing us to be able to move into a place with lower rent.

    Punishing your spouse?

I understand the concept of small "punishments" but I don't look at them as punishments. I look at them as "I'm really upset with you and don't really want to kiss you right now so I'm not going to kiss you."
