My sister and I have been going to auctions lately. We often find things from our childhood that we forgot all about. She's collected all sorts of bowls and dishes while I've gone after the old tools. Do other fathers here hang out at estate auctions?

I am trying to go yard saling twice a month. I went last week and picked up a small piece of cast iron cookware for fifty cents and did not even have to haggle. I mostly go for cast iron cookware, although I'm looking for other things. Those glass lamps with the thick wick is another thing I look for.

I go to auctions especially when the weather is nice. One of the best deals I've gotten was an old chest of drawers for five dollars. All it needed was a coat of paint. You can also find some good stuff in those boxes of miscellaneous items.
