They make special little gloves for this. I would buy at least 4 or five pairs because the baby will get them off. They will also keep the babies hands warm, which is good since it is going to get cold soon.
How old is your baby, and have you cut her fingernails recently? Baby nails grow fast and they can be sharp! You can get nightgowns for up to 12 months that fold down over theri little hands. They can't get those off like they do the mitts.
