That is a tough one and I am honestly not sure what I would end up doing. How do you explain that to a four year old when everyone else has a birthday every year and by the time they can read a calender they do no see it on there every year.
I am glad none of my kids were born on February 29th, so that I don't have to deal with the situation. If I had one, I think we would celebrate it every year, on February 28th I guess.
Well, I think it makes sense to celebrate the birthday of the kids born on the special date on February 28th. It would be unfair for them to celebrate their birthday every four years.
I don't think that date is of that much importance, but the celebration itself is. The next day or the day before would be just fine, or maybe organize a 28th midnight party.
