Bumps and bruises

How do you handle bumps and bruises. My son doesn't get bothered by scrapes and bangs by my daughter acts as if she has broken a bone or something. So I can never figure out if it's just a scrape or if I should run to the hospital.

Some kids are just tougher than others when it comes to cuts and things of that nature. Try to make sure you don't make a big deal out of her getting hurt and it should help. Now, some kids are going to freak out anyway.

My daughter is happy with a band aid and a kiss for the time being. I hope it stays that way. But usually if you put a band aid on it and kiss it, she stops crying.
