Women have their own battles to fight in media portrayal. Sure, they look really competent domestically, but that's where you see them most of the time. Most cleaning commercials have women in them, doing the cleaning. I think the media has a long way to come to represent both genders as people, not tired stereotypes.I really get ticked off at how the media portray men as fathers. If shows did this with women there's be such and uproar that the show would never make it off the ground. Why the double standards?
You forget shows like 'I Love Lucy' that showed women as idiots. I guess this trend is to balance out the women in the workplace shows.I really get ticked off at how the media portray men as fathers. Good point, Victor. You would think these media people would know better since they have access to different kinds of people to interview and topics to research on. I'm sure they're aware how women and men's roles have dramatically intertwined over the years. Oh well, old habits die hard as they say. Whether we like it or not, there will always be some sort of stereotyping.Women have their own battles to fight in media portrayal. Sometimes it is! But no, I prefer to use the gloves because sometimes I make a mess if the type of feces I'm dealing with aren't quite solid. You use latex gloves to change diapers? Wow. You do know that you can just wash your hands, right? Putting gloves on seems like a pain.
A child's feces is not really a big mess. It's more or less re-engineered milk. Alright, re-engineered sour milk that smells a bit. Nothing that some soap and lots of clean water cannot get rid of.Sometimes it is! But no, I prefer to use the gloves because sometimes I make a mess if the type of feces I'm dealing with aren't quite solid.
