We have really been watching our electricity usage the last few months. Just by being more careful, we have saved about $12 a month over last year's bills. It's not much but I can think of stuff I'd rather spend $12 on, can't you?
Ours has changed a good bit but also its crazy when I think about what we ended up spending years ago. The thing that changed the most for us was re-insulating the attic & updating the HVAC system. Are you in a condo or a house?
We always look for ways to cut costs. When you look at all the extra money you spend on things you could've saved on and then compare it to how long it takes you to make that money at your job, it makes you think twice about spending so much.
