Health insurance - this makes no sense

I went through a mediation conference call yesterday about child support with the ex and they ended up tacking on $200 a month to my payment for health insurance for the kids. BUT here's the thing - the kids are on Medicaid and my ex has zero out of pocket expenses. I could understand if she was working and had to pay a premium through her job to have them covered, but she hasn't had one out of pocket medical expense since we got divorced. So, basically, now she's getting an extra $200 for nothing.

I think I see what you're saying. If she was paying for a regular insurance plan the additional $200 would make sense because you would be helping her with the premium payment. But since they have coverage through the state...yeah, that really doesn't make much sense. Have you consulted a lawyer about that?
