I do not have someone specific (like a father of my own) to ask "what about...". How many others here are in the same position? Just curious if it gets easier after time has passed, thanks.
Nothing gets easier as time passes. Each new day of a child's life brings new challenges and questions. So get ready for a wild ride and just do the best you can.
My father died before I had my kids. I think in the end, you have to find your own way through family situations no matter if you have that reference or not. Use what you have, friends, other family, to help sort things out when you need them.
Having kids is tough. I know it not from experience yet because my child is so young but from friends and family members. But, if it wasn't easy there would be no fun in it. I'm excited for the challenge.
My godfather was a great help when I first had children. It's a different relationship than that between my father and I. I found him pretty much invaluable to be honest.
