Kids and jet lag!

I am really happy to finally have my family with me again, but boy is the jet lag an issue. How do you deal with four of them waking up through the night and falling asleep at odd times? I'm feeling a bit stressed here!

I do bad when it comes to jet lag myself and it always takes me a good week or two in order to get settled again. I have never had an issue with the kids though, they might doze off for a nap but that is it.

I think part of the trick is to try to stay up as long as possible and go to bed as close to a normal time as possible. Maybe that means everyone pushes a little to stay up, but goes to bed a little early until things equal out.

My son was able to overcome jet lag by forcing himself to stay up until his regular sleep time. It's tempting to take a nap after a long trip or red eye flight but if you do that, it will take forever to recover. You feel like crap as you force yourself to stay awake but at least it won't kill you for the rest of the week.
