Mild autism

Does anyone have a child with autism spectrum disorder? My soon to be stepson is amazing. He also has mild autism spectrum disorder. He is doing so well and has seen improvements even in the past few months

Sorry for that my friend! I'm however glad that that there are encouraging improvements on the child. Anyway just ensure that the Mild Autism doesn't get worse by ensuring that the doctor's advise is relied on always!

My great grandson has autism. He has just started school and has a support worker. Since starting, he is improving and even interacting with the other children much more than he ever has. It is amazing how much they can improve, with support, so your stepson will probably improve even more.

I thought that my nephew had autism until my brother brought a specialist in to work with him. After about a year of the specialist working with him, he turned out to be interacting perfectly with others. Good luck with your stepson! Autism is a touchy subject.

Thanks for the advice. Right now he is receiving early intervention services and will interact with kids in a small group, when they go to the larger group at his preschool/childcare setting, then he shuts down and just wants to be with his teacher. We are working on getting him a TSS worker.
