Self employed people

From what I understand, health care insurance is very expensive for self employed people, isn't it? Why do you think that this has to be the case?

Health insurance is expensive no matter what. When you work for an employer the employer usually pays part of the premium each month. When your work for yourself, you are the employer.

You pay for it 100%. You work for a company, the company pays a portion. Also the risks are spread out more. The larger the company, the more the risk is spread out the less the cost.

All I know from the few articles I've read lately, doctors are getting less money from insurance companies, and yet charge me more and want to cover less. I think they are the real crooks in America today.
