Single grandfather

I thought I had raised all my children. Then my unmarried son had a baby with a girl. They are not married. I have to babysit the child since I retired, but she has taken my heart. At first I was angry. Now, I deal with it.

Do you think you will be in this situation permanently? What do you think will happen with the baby's parents? What do you hope happens?

Grandchildren are fun to be with UNTIL ... Children should be in the care of their OWN parents. Occasionally, my children will leave their kids with me when they have to go business trips or something. Or, the grandkids spend a week vacations but never would I take over their care and up-bringing.
